Before the Intervention: Preparation is Key
We don’t walk into an intervention cold. We guide families through:
- Building the right team: choosing the most supportive, level-headed people.
- Assessing emotional readiness: ensuring participants know what to expect.
- Developing a customized plan: tailored to your family’s dynamics and the individual’s needs.
This phase sets the tone for success.
Day of the Intervention: Creating a Pause
The goal of the intervention isn’t confrontation—it’s creating a pause long enough for the individual to consider a new path.
- We set the stage in a neutral, private location.
- Each team member shares prepared statements—focused on care and concern, not blame.
- We present a clear treatment plan and immediate next steps.
After the Intervention: Keeping the Momentum
What happens after is just as important:
- If the individual accepts help, we arrange transport and admission.
- If they resist, we remain engaged, adjust the plan, and continue providing guidance.
- We stay connected to ensure the family and individual feel supported through the transition.
